Catalog Description

Introduction to combining human and machine intelligence to benefit people and society. Explore cutting-edge research on a number of subjects related to human-AI interaction, including the psychological and societal impacts of AI as well as design guidelines and methods for human-centered AI.

Prerequisites

Graduate standing.

Restrictions

Enrollment in Information Studies (INF) courses is restricted to graduate students in the School of Information through registration periods 1 and 2, with outside students only being accepted during period 3.  

A limited number of seats may also be reserved for non-iSchool students participating in the Graduate Portfolio Program in Ethical AI.  Eligible students are advised to contact the instructor for consideration.
