Catalog Description

Introduction to combining human and machine intelligence to benefit people and society. Explore cutting-edge research on a number of subjects related to human-AI interaction, including the psychological and societal impacts of AI as well as design guidelines and methods for human-centered AI.

Prerequisites

Graduate standing.

Restrictions

Restricted to graduate students in the School of Information through registration periods 1 and 2. Outside students will be permitted to join our waitlists beginning in registration period 3. A small number of additional seats have been reserved for students pursuing the Graduate Portfolio in Ethical AI. Qualifying students who wish to claim one of these seats are advised to contact the instructor.
