SXSW Interactive Coming Up

The egalitarian spirit of the South By Southwest conference encourages anyone to attend and participate. "Anyone" includes information professionals in libraries, archives, museums, and information technology - all view it as an opportunity to promote core community issues such as open access, copyright, design, and digital stewardship to a receptive tech community.

The iSchool's own Tanya Clement and master's student Paul Vinelli will be representing the iSchool at Poetry in Motion: Sound Culture & Data Mining

With over 3,000 panels and events in the ten-day span of SXSW, the challenge becomes choosing from the wealth of creative offerings. Not to worry! The iSchool community will have ample opportunities to select from sessions in categories including:

  • Design and Development,
  • Gaming and Game Development,
  • Health and Medicine,
  • Diversity and Emerging Markets,
  • Entrepreneurialism and Business,
  • Science and Space Exploration,
  • Social and Relationships, Startup Village,
  • Work and Career,
  • Art and Inspiration,
