Abstract
As a bastion of preservation and access to archival collections, The Dolph Briscoe Center for American History engages with digitization efforts on a frequent basis. Despite this, current guides for digitization efforts act primarily as an appeal for digitization practices and their importance. Furthermore, written over a period of eleven years and by various staff, the existing guides each feature varied scope, purpose, and diction. This project will create a central page within the center’s Wiki which hosts accessible and easily understandable guides for station and equipment setup, material handling, and digitization workflows within multiple media formats.
