Room Reservations

 

The iSchool room calendars are moving to Office 365.  For best results, follow the below instructions to request a room reservation.  You may also email reception for assistance.

How to Request a Room Reservation:

  • In order to complete this task you will need to log into Office 365 using your University of Texas Credentials
  • Once logged in navigate to the Calendar app.
  • Select the date that you plan to meet and use "Scheduling Assistant" from the top menu. (You can also complete these steps in the default UI but we've found the scheduling assistant will catch the most common erros that occur during reservation.
  • Update the date and time as needed.
  • Include any attendees.
  • Select the appropriate room and confirm that there are no conflicts among the room or your attendees.
    • For rooms within the UTA building, enter "UTA" and the floor the room is located on. All of the conference using this naming convention: "UTA 1.210 IT Lab" or "UTA 5.468".
  • Select "Done".
  • You should receive an email stating that your reservation is pending approval. If you do not receive this message, you were likely unsuccessful in selecting the room (you can enter free form text in these fields thus resulting in the system using your free text rather than the room you intended).
