Rachel Tunis

Rachel joined the iSchool at UT Austin as a doctoral student in the fall of 2021. Her research focuses on self-tracking technologies for helping people with chronic conditions manage their health. Prior to beginning her studies at UT, she worked at a think-tank in Washington DC where she served as a research associate primarily on health data and technology in the context of biomedical research. Rachel hails from Baltimore MD but has also spent time living in Washington D.C., Switzerland, and Morocco. She graduated from the College of William and Mary in Virginia with a B.A. in Sociology and French.
