Biography

Doug Jansen earned his PhD in Medieval History from The University of Texas. He spent over 15 years as contingent faculty teaching at colleges and universities in Central Texas and the Houston area before joining the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board as a Program Director in 2013. At the THECB he worked in academic program assessment and review and analyzed proposed legislation as it affected higher education. In 2018, he moved to The University of Texas School of Law (Texas Law) where he worked until 2023 as Director of Admissions, with responsibilities in recruiting, admissions, and financial aid.
