David Joaquin Cuartielles Ruiz

Biography

David is a visiting faculty from the University of Malmo in Sweden, where he is the head of the Interaction Design Masters, at the School of Arts and Communication, as well as a researcher at the Internet of Things and People group. He co-founded the open source hardware and software platform Arduino in 2005, and currently coordinates the academic research efforts within its organisation. David has got awards from the STINT foundation of Sweden, ASHOKA foundation for social entrepreneurship, SER Prize for the contribution to the engineering field in Sweden, the FIUM at the Univeristy of Murcia (ES) for the contribution to computer science, the San Carlos Medal from the University of Valencia (ES) to lifelong achievements in the arts, among others.
