Biography

Bettina Warburg is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Warburg SerresInvestments, an early stage venture capital fund focused on the decentralization ofTrade and Blockchain Technology. She is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner ofAnimal Ventures, an investment advisory firm that builds and invests in tech startups,educates executives, and designs new ways for Fortune 500 companies tocommercialize and leverage emergent technologies. She is one of the first speakers atTED to unpack the topic of blockchain, and her talk, How the Blockchain will radicallytransform the economy, has been seen by over 5 million people,making it the mostviewed TED talk on the topic of Blockchain to date. Bettinas collaboration with WiredMagazine to help explain blockchain at 5 levels of difficulty has also been seen by over2 Million people. Bettina is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Texas School ofInformation in Austin, co-author of Asset Chains:The Cognitive, Friction-free, andBlockchain enabled Future of Supply Chains, and was previously the executiveproducer of a show called Tech on Politics.
