I decided to attend UT's School of Information primarily for the breadth of curriculum that it offers. Throughout my career, and time at the iSchool, I dabbled in the fields of digital archiving, historical archives, oral history, public library outreach, academic reference librarianship, user experience testing and research, paper and book conservation techniques, as well as database building. Though I am currently working in paper conservation, the opportunity to work and study such a variety of topics within the information field provide a world of options. "Information" is an extraordinarily broad term; I believe that the pursuit and spread of it should be studied with the same vastness.
