School's career development director has resigned

School of Information Dean Andrew Dillon has announced the resignation of Career Development Director Tara Iagulli.

Holding the position for six years, Iagulli transformed career services at the school, along with its reputation as an educator of future leaders, Dillon said.

“Tara has connected our school to a network of new employers through outreach, workshops, informal gatherings and panel sessions,” Dillon said. “She also has given so much time to advising new students and coaching individuals to develop their potential fully. Our placement record for graduates is excellent, and due in no small part to Tara’s work, but what is particularly impressive to me is how Tara has enabled our graduates to take career paths that few even knew existed when they entered our program. Our school alumni have benefited enormously from her hard work and indefatigable spirit, and she will be missed.”

Iagulli said she was proud to work with the iSchool’s faculty and staff to build a strong career office where students learn what it means to be a professional and how to make the transition beyond school.

“We have a young alumni community that is eager to mentor and hire current students and a deep employer base in place, both of which provide a solid foundation for the next career development director to continue building the bridge from academia to the ever evolving world of employment,” Iagulli said.

The iSchool has already hired Iagulli’s successor and will announce the new career services director soon.
