The First Presidential Social Media Archive: Challenges to Providing Access

Using President Barack Obama's White House Facebook account as a case study, this project examined the challenges involved in providing access to social media collections. I examined what parts of Facebook are easy to preserve and what parts resist preservation and used my observations to theorize the types of metadata archives would need to add to provide access.
