Examine people’s social and psychological experiences of virtual environments, such as in virtual reality. Students will learn about the research behind people’s experiences of virtual environments.

COURSE NOTES

Virtual environments have become an integral component of people’s everyday lives for multiple uses such as socializing, learning, and behavior change. The focus of the course is to examine people’s social and psychological experiences of virtual environments, such as in virtual reality. The course includes finding and presenting cutting-edge research in the field, examining the intersection between research and the design of virtual environments as well as interacting with VR hardware and software to build 3D virtual environments.

PREREQUISITES

Graduate standing.
