DESCRIPTION

Study of how individuals and groups create meaning. Explores research topics concerning people and communication, including information literacy, organizations and innovation, knowledge management, and identifying information needs. May be repeated for credit when the topics vary. Information studies 327e and 327w may not both be counted unless the topics vary.

Originally titled "Online Information Seeking". Examination of online information behaviors and resources relevant to K-12 teaching and learning with emphasis on information seeking theories and practices of K-12 students in their quest to find online information, the scope of information resources, and physical and intellectual access concepts and strategies.
