Automating the Verification of Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) Status of Vendors for the Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR)

This project automates the process by which HUB status is verified by employees of the DIR. It is necessary to verify the HUB status of vendors when they are listed as subcontractors on subcontracting plans. Because these plans are completed by DIR-contracted vendors and not the DIR, the DIR must verify the accuracy of this information. Historically, DIR employees have been required to manually determine which vendors are listed on these plans and locate listed vendors in an online database in order to verify this information.
