This year’s Capstone Poster Session was a tour de force of impressive projects, featuring over 150 presentations from undergraduate and graduate students alike. Posters presented ranged from master’s theses and library practica to professional experience projects and focused research reports.
U.S. News & World Report released new nationwide rankings of library and information studies graduate programs. The iSchool's MSIS program maintained its tradition of excellence in these and other head-to-head rankings, placing in a tie for sixth out of 56 programs assessed.

Professor Matthew Lease, who has taught at the School of Information (iSchool) since 2009, has been recognized with two “Test of Time” awards. These awards recognize the enduring impact of research papers published over a decade ago. Congratulations on this significant accomplishment, Dr. Lease!
We are saddened that Dr. Donald G. Davis, Professor Emeritus at the School of Information at the University of Texas at Austin, has passed away. Dr. Davis was an esteemed faculty member at the iSchool for thirty-four years and a leading expert in library history.
