Glendora Johnson-Cooper is an associate librarian in the Arts & Sciences Libraries of the University at Buffalo (UB), Buffalo , NY . She received her M.L.S. in 1987 from UB's School of Information and Library Studies. She has served as Collection Development Coordinator and Acting Director of the Oscar A. Silverman Undergraduate Library at UB. She is currently the subject librarian for Sociology and African American Studies.

Since 1992, Ms. Johnson-Cooper has been the Program Manager for the Jean Blackwell Hutson Library Residency Program. She is a member of the American Library Association, the Association of College and Research Libraries and the State University of New York Librarian's Association. She is a graduate of the Association of Research Libraries inaugural class of the Leadership and Career Development Program. Ms.Johnson-Cooper is also a past recipient of the State University of New York's Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Librarianship.

Her research interests include mentoring and recruitment of underrepresented librarians.
