Appointed by the Graduate School of Library and Information Science (GSLIS) dean to represent the school on this committee that undertakes to study important local issues related to urban culture. The First project of the committee was to advise in the writing a HUD grant for a youth services program to serve east Austin.
- Resources Consultant with Dr. Beverly Hall, Denton and Louise Cooley and Family Centennial Professor in Nursing and Dr. Janet Hall, Assistant Professor, University of Texas School of Nursing, 1988-89. Reviewed bibliographic needs and resources for a new course on HIV-AIDS which they were developing and later offered for the first time in the School of Nursing, University of Texas, during the spring of 1989.
- Southern Association of Schools and Colleges Self‑Study Committee, Continuing Education Subcommittee, 1987‑1988. Researched and wrote the GSLIS continuing education portion of the self-study report.
