Description:
Study of the properties and behavior of information. Technology for information processing and management.
Three lecture hours a week for one semester.
May be repeated for credit when the topics vary.
* Expected to include approximately 3-5 library visits during regularly-scheduled class time.

Implementing Library IT Systems
Notes:
In this course, students will be exposed to a survey of Library IT systems found in the daily operations of a library. Going beyond the purpose and mission of
the system, students will actually experience the administrative
interface of these systems. The course will be a combination of
lectures, group assignments, and guest demonstrations/lectures.
Roughly 3-5 classes may be onsite at local libraries.
