A hands-on introduction to guiding infrastructural and institutional developments involved in digital scholarship. Areas of focus include archives, collection, and scholarly editions; data curation; funding; text encoding; tool building; scholarly publishing; and visualization.

Three lecture hours a week for one semester. Information Studies 383H and 385T (Topic: Introduction to Digital Humanities) may not both be counted.

Cross-listed as American Studies 391 (1 seat), History 381 (2 seats), and English 388M (2 seats). Also offered at the undergraduate level as INF 350E (3 seats).
