Communication patterns, bibliographic organization, and information resources in science and technology, including general science, astronomy, biological sciences, chemistry, earth sciences, engineering, mathematics and physics. Surveys each field briefly, treats typical information needs in the field, and provides practice in using reference materials to solve users' problems. Provides experience in online searching in several disciplines. (Graduate standing; LIS 382L.12 , credit or registration for LIS 382L.20 or LIS 384K.16)
