The relationship of academic library management or learning resources center to trends in postsecondary education, to the institution or library served, and to the research community at large. Examines the planning and utilization of rees, general administration, fieldwork, and initial preparation for membership in the Academy of Health Information Professionals. (Graduate standing; Credit or registration for LIS 382L.20 or LIS 384K.16)

To introduce students to academic libraries of all types and to look at the library in relationship to the educational and research programs of the post?secondary institutions of which they are a part. A student may expect to obtain an overview of higher education, academic libraries and their operations and services, and the respective literature on those topics.
