The organization, storage, preservation, retrieval, dissemination and delivery of information. Includes such subjects as: theories of knowledge representation; linguistic and communication studies on the nature of information; theories of systems for controlling information resources; design and development of information, archival and records systems; bibliographic control; databases; networks; and technologies and processes relevant to organizing and providing access to information.
