Description:
Systems for controlling recorded information in an organizational setting. Role and function of records management throughout the records cycle, including management of the creation, maintenance, use and disposition of records. (Graduate standing)

Records are the corporate and cultural memory of organizations, providing proof of business decisions and transactions. As organizations create and maintain more of their records electronically, they are struggling to develop effective policies, systems, and practices to capture, maintain, and preserve records, regardless of their physical format or medium. All of the life cycle elements of records management are covered from creation through maintenance and protection to final disposition.
