Instructor expected to collect final reports along with an end-of-semester group reflection session as part of the regularly-scheduled final exam period - Thursday, December 8, 8am-10am.

Examines misinformation, disinformation and other forms of networked manipulation, which can function not only to deceive and create divisions, but also to diminish trust in information intermediaries such as journalism and science. Readings and activities provide the basis for exploring problems with, causes of and solutions to these phenomena.


Graduate standing.


Restricted to graduate degree seekers in the School of Information during registration periods 1 and 2.
